Using Gorilla Custard in your tank
If you run a tank on a mod with an open draw, Gorilla Custard is made for that kind of setup. Small devices with a tight draw are better served by salt nicotine. It comes in a 60ml bottle.
- Check that your device is a tank setup with an open draw, since freebase is built for direct-lung vaping.
- Shake the bottle well before filling.
- Open the tank’s fill port and fill to just below the top, keeping juice out of the centre chimney.
- If the coil is new, let it soak for a few minutes before you fire the device.
- Start at the low end of the wattage range printed on the coil and raise it gradually until the flavour sits right.
- Set the airflow to taste; opening it up gives more vapour and a lighter flavour.
Longer coil life, steadier flavour
- Do not put freebase in a small pod built for salts; it can taste thin or leak.
- Sweet and dessert flavours wear coils out faster than fruit and mint.
- Do not let the tank run completely dry; a dry coil burns quickly.
- Store bottles away from heat and direct sunlight, and never leave them in the car.
- When changing flavours, clean the tank or finish what is in it so the tastes do not mix.

Can I use Gorilla Custard in a small pod device?
Gorilla Custard is a freebase e-liquid, and it belongs in a tank with an open, direct-lung draw. In small pods it can taste thin or leak, because those pods are designed around salt nicotine. If you use an MTL pod system, choose a salt nicotine e-liquid instead. The difference between the two is explained in Vape Flavours in Kuwait: Salt or Freebase, and How to Choose.
What wattage should I use with Gorilla Custard?
The right wattage depends on the coil in your tank, not on the e-liquid. Every coil has a wattage range printed on it; start at the low end and work up until the flavour is full without a harsh edge. Lower-resistance coils generally need more power. More on resistance in What Is Ohm in Vaping and How It Affects Performance?.
What does the VG/PG ratio change in Gorilla Custard?
VG gives thicker vapour and a smoother taste, while PG gives a clearer throat hit and carries flavour more sharply. Freebase e-liquids for higher-powered devices usually lean towards VG to suit an open draw. The exact ratio varies from one flavour and maker to another. The full explanation is in VG vs PG in Vape Juice – Your Guide to the Perfect Ratio.
How do I choose between the flavours in Dessert Flavors?
Start with the flavour family you enjoy: fruit, ice and mint, tobacco, or desserts. Then look at the bottle size that fits how much you vape, and a strength that suits your device. If your setup goes through a lot of juice, a larger bottle saves you frequent top-ups. Every option is listed in Dessert Flavors.
Why is my vape spitting juice into my mouth?
Spitting usually comes from an overfilled tank, juice in the centre chimney, or a flooded coil. Remove the tank, dry the mouthpiece and chimney, then take shorter puffs at a sensible wattage. If it keeps happening, the coil may need replacing. Causes and fixes are covered in detail in Vape Spitting E-Liquid? Causes and Easy Fixes.
