Vape Flavours in Kuwait: Salt or Freebase, and How to Choose

The question we get most often is “which flavour should I get?” — but the answer starts with a different question: is your device an MTL pod or a DTL e-shisha? That is what decides whether you need salt nicotine or freebase. This guide covers the difference, the right strength, the flavour families, and the tobacco flavours we stock.

Salt nicotine or freebase? The first decision

This is the one difference that will ruin the experience if you get it wrong. Both carry the same flavours, but the nicotine itself is chemically different and so feels completely different:

Salt nicotineFreebase

Common strength20 – 50mg3 – 6mg
Throat hitSmooth even at high strengthHarsh if you raise the strength
Nicotine deliveryFastSlower and more gradual
Vapour volumeLowDense
The rule in short: small device and a pod = salt. Big device with a tank and lots of vapour = freebase. Put high-strength salt in a powerful device and you will get a brutal throat burn; put 3mg freebase in a small pod and you will feel nothing at all.

Which nicotine strength should you pick?

If you feel dizzy or nauseous, the strength is too high for you — drop a level. If you find yourself vaping constantly without feeling satisfied, it is too low.

Flavour families

  • Fruits — the most requested. Mango, strawberry, watermelon, grape, and most are available in a refreshing ice version.
  • Tobacco — the closest to a cigarette. The first choice for anyone coming from traditional smoking.
  • Bakery and desserts — cake, custard, caramel, biscuit. Sweet and heavy, and excellent in the evening.
  • Freebase for big devices — every DTL flavour at low nicotine strength with dense vapour.

Bottle sizes

Size depends on your device type and how heavily you vape:

  • 30ml — the standard size for salt nicotine. Lasts one to two weeks for most users.
  • 60ml — the most common freebase size. Better value once you have settled on a flavour.
  • 100ml — for heavy use with larger devices.
  • 120ml — the largest size and the lowest cost per millilitre.

Three tips that make any flavour taste better

  1. Let the coil soak. After filling, wait 5 to 10 minutes before the first puff. Priming prevents a burnt taste and extends coil life.
  2. Rotate between two flavours. Use the same flavour for days on end and you stop tasting it — a phenomenon called vaper’s tongue. Alternating between fruit and tobacco fixes it.
  3. Store it properly. Away from sun and heat. E-liquid exposed to light changes colour and taste.
