IQOS ILUMA ONE is the all-in-one device in the IQOS ILUMA range — holder and charger in a single body, so there is no separate pocket charger to carry or lose.
The big change with ILUMA is how it heats. There is no heating blade inside. Instead, a metal element built into each TEREA stick is heated by induction from the device, which means nothing to break and nothing to clean — the single most common complaint about earlier IQOS generations simply doesn’t apply here.

How heated tobacco works
Heated tobacco devices heat the tobacco instead of burning it, so there is no lighter involved. These are the general steps for using IQOS iluma One with the right device. Colours available: Black, Blue, Green.
- Make sure the device is charged before you head out.
- Insert a heated tobacco stick, tobacco end first, until it stops.
- Start the heating and wait for the vibration or light that tells you it is ready.
- Draw gently as you would a cigarette; the device lets you know when the session is nearly over.
- Remove the stick when it is done and put it in the bin.
- Clean the device as its model requires; blade-heated devices need cleaning more often.
Heated tobacco tips
- TEREA sticks are made for ILUMA devices and HEETS for older blade-heated devices, so do not mix them.
- Never light a heated tobacco stick with a flame; it is designed for the device only.
- Keep the device and sticks away from heat and humidity, especially in a car.
- In blade-heated devices, do not twist the stick while it is inserted, to avoid breaking the blade.
- Check the pack name and colour, since editions sometimes differ only in strength or pack colour.

Which sticks work with IQOS iluma One?
It depends on the device. ILUMA devices heat from the inside and take TEREA sticks only, while older devices with a heating blade take HEETS. How do Heating systems differ from a regular cigarette?
A regular cigarette is lit and burns, while a heating system warms the tobacco without burning it. That means no lighter, and the device controls the temperature and the length of each session. Do IQOS sticks work in all of the brand's devices?
Not necessarily. A brand can have more than one generation of devices, and each generation takes a specific type of stick. For example, TEREA is for ILUMA and HEETS is for blade-heated devices. Check the model name before choosing. Everything from the brand is on the IQOS page.
Why does IQOS iluma One taste weak or off?

Can I use a heated tobacco stick twice?
No, each stick is for one session. Once heating finishes, the tobacco inside is used up, and reheating gives a burnt taste and dirties the device. Remove it, bin it, and insert a fresh one. See the options in our Heating systems section.
