Getting the most out of Black Jack salt
Before you fill up with Black Jack salt, check that your device is built for salt e-liquids. This type of juice is not meant for high-powered, open-draw devices. Strengths to choose from: 30mg, 50mg.
- Make sure your device is a pod system or MTL kit, since salt nicotine is designed for a tight draw.
- Give the bottle a gentle shake before filling so the flavour is evenly mixed.
- Fill the pod through its fill port to just below the top, keeping juice out of the centre air tube.
- If the pod or coil is new, let it soak for a few minutes before the first puff.
- Start with slow, short puffs, then adjust to what feels right.
- Close the bottle tightly after every refill.
Keeping flavour and coils going longer
- Keep the bottle away from heat and direct sunlight, and never leave it in the car.
- Sweet and dessert flavours wear coils out faster than fruit and mint.
- Do not run salt nicotine in a powerful open-draw device; the hit gets harsh.
- A burnt taste or weaker vapour usually means the coil or pod needs replacing.
- When switching flavours, finish what is in the pod first so the tastes do not mix.
Still deciding between salt and freebase? It is all laid out in Vape Flavours in Kuwait: Salt or Freebase, and How to Choose.
Which devices can I use Black Jack salt in?
Black Jack salt is a salt nicotine e-liquid, so it is made for pod systems and MTL devices with a tight draw. In a powerful open-draw device the hit turns harsh and the bottle runs out quickly. If you use a large tank, freebase is the better match. The difference between the two is explained in Vape Flavours in Kuwait: Salt or Freebase, and How to Choose.
How do I choose the nicotine strength for Black Jack salt?
There is no single strength that suits everyone; it depends on your device and the way you draw. Salt nicotine usually comes in higher strengths than freebase because it is smoother on the throat. Choose the strength that suits your device, and ask us if you are unsure before settling on one. For background on nicotine itself, see What is Nicotine.
How do I pick another flavour from Tobacco Flavors?
Start with the flavour family you enjoy: fruit, mint and ice, tobacco, or desserts. Then check that it is a salt nicotine e-liquid that suits your device, in a strength that fits the way you vape. If you like to rotate, keep one light flavour and one sweeter one on hand. Everything is listed in Tobacco Flavors.
How should I store Black Jack salt to keep the flavour right?
Keep the bottle tightly closed and somewhere away from heat and sunlight. A car in summer is no place for e-liquid. A slight change in colour over time is normal, but if the taste or smell changes clearly, it is time to stop using it. The full details are in E-Liquid Expiry date in Vaping: Essential Insights.
Why does my vape taste burnt or weak?
The cause is usually the coil or the pod, not the e-liquid itself. Coils are consumables, sweet flavours shorten their life, and puffing before the wick is soaked burns the cotton. Try replacing the coil or pod, refilling it, and waiting a little before you vape. Other causes and fixes are covered in Top Common Vape Problems and Solutions.
