“Check Atomizer” or “No Atomizer” issue

مشكلة "Check Atomizer" أو "No Atomizer"

“Check Atomizer” or “No Atomizer” issue The “Check Atomizer” or “No Atomizer” issue is one of the most common issues that vape and e-cigarette users face. This issue occurs frequently, and you can say it is one of the first things you will encounter during your vape journey. This issue occurs for a variety of reasons, and most of the time you can fix it yourself without having to buy a new device or go to the store.

One of the most important advantages of modern devices is that your device has a screen and can communicate with you by displaying error messages if something goes wrong. What does it mean when the vape says “No Atomizer”?

When the vape tells you “Check Atomizer” or “No Atomizer”, it means that the device cannot read the resistance of the installed coil. If the vape cannot detect the coil – or its resistance is not within the expected range – the vape cannot operate safely and will give you an error message.

Fixing this error requires you to follow a diagnostic process. Once you know the cause of the issue, it’s a little easier to fix. Here’s how:

Overview of the “No Atomizer” error fix

Let’s take a quick look at the steps you need to take to fix the “No Atomizer” error.

* Try replacing the tank or pod system if possible. If this fixes the issue, you know the issue is related to the tank or pod system you were using. If that doesn’t work, the issue is with the device itself.

So replacing the tank or pod system solved the issue:

  • Charge your device’s battery.
  • Clean the device’s metal connection pins.
  • Check for leaks and dry your device completely.

If you are using a pod system and replacing it solves the issue:

  • Clean the connection pins at the bottom of the pod system.
  • If the pod system has an replaceable coil, make sure the coil is inserted into the end.
  • Replace the pod system or coil

If you are using a tank and replacing the tank solves the issue:

  • Clean the metal pin at the base of the tank.
  • Remove the coil and check for any flavor under it. Dry the base of the tank completely.
  • Reinstall the coil, and make sure it is attached till the end.
  • Remove the tank and install it again, making sure the components are installed correctly.
  • Adjust the tank’s pin, and make sure it’s coming from the center of the base.
  • Replace the coil.

Let’s look at these steps in more detail and see how they work.

Finding the cause of the “No Atomizer” error

If your vape or pod system gives you a “No Atomizer” or “Check Atomizer” message, the first thing you need to do is to find the cause of the issue if you can, by trying a different tank or pod system. If the vape works, it means that the original tank or pod system is the cause of the issue. If the vape keeps giving the error, it’s not the device itself. Scroll down to the appropriate section below to find out what you need to do.

Fix the “No Atomizer” error if the device has an issue

If the vape gives a “No Atomizer” error with any tank or pod system, it means that the device is the cause of the issue. Start by charging the battery. Although it is not uncommon for the vape to give the “No Atomizer” error if the battery is low, the device can have strange issues when the battery is almost empty. If this doesn’t solve the issue, continue reading the following tips for a deeper diagnosis.

Clean your vape coil or pod system

Rust can form on the connection points of the vape, preventing it from detecting the coil. Make sure the connection points at the bottom of the tank or pod system are clean and dry.

If your vape can’t detect the coil in any tank or pod system you plug into it, the most likely cause is dirt, dust or flavor residue on the metal connection point at the top of the device. The connection point is a gold-plated or copper-plated pin or plate located inside the chamber of the device if you’re using a pod system, or in the center of the coils if you’re using a vape. You can clean your device with a cotton swab. If the connection point is heavily soiled, you can dampen the cotton swab with some medical alcohol to remove any contaminants.

Make sure there is no leak if you are using a pod system

If you are using a pod system with a removable coil, the pod system can leak if the coil is installed incorrectly because in most pod systems, you install the coil by pushing it through a hole in the bottom of the pod system. The flavor will leak out of the hole if the coil is not installed properly. We’ll give you more information on fixing this issue below – but for now, if you remove the pod system from your device and find flavor underneath, you need to do something about the leak because the flavor can enter your device and cause damage. This is what you need to do:

* Use a napkin to remove all the flavor you can see. Try using the vape again. If it works, make sure you install the coil correctly in the future to avoid leaks.

* If the vape still returns a “No Atomizer” error, try puffing through the air intake hole while placing a wipe over the pod system. If you see flavor in the chamber – or the wipe gets wet – it means that flavor has entered your device. Dry the chamber and blow again. Repeat this process until no flavor appears. Try using the vape again.

* If the vape still returns a “No Atomizer” error, the device may have an internal short-circuit due to flavor leakage. In this case, you can try using drying bags – the same bags that come with medicines and electronic devices – to remove moisture from the inside of the vape. Place the vape in a plastic bag with the drying bags for a day or two and see if that solves the issue. If your device still displays the “No Atomizer” message with every tank or pod system, the leak may have caused permanent damage and you need to replace the device.

Fix “No Atomizer” error if your tank or pod system has an issue

If you’ve tried connecting a new tank or pod system to your vape – and your device stops displaying the “No Atomizer” error – you’re in luck because a tank or pod system is much easier to diagnose than a vape. Here’s what you need to do with a tank or pod system that doesn’t work:

Clean the tank or pod system

The first thing you need to do with a tank or pod system that causes the “No Atomizer” error is to clean the coils or the metal connection point at the bottom. You can do this with a cotton swab in the same way as above. If the metal is heavily soiled, dampen the cotton swab with some medical alcohol to help remove stains.

Make sure the coil is installed correctly

The vape may return a “No Atomizer” error if the coil is not attached or inserted into the base of the pod system or tank.

If the tank or pod system still doesn’t work after you’ve cleaned it, make sure the coil is installed correctly.

* If you are using a tank, make sure the coil is attached to the other and there is no overlap in the threads. Note that with some tanks, you have to tie the coil extra tight to make it work.

* If you are using a pod system, make sure the coil is properly aligned. In many cases, the base of the coil has a flat edge that must be aligned with a flat edge at the bottom of the pod system. If the coil is not properly aligned, it will protrude slightly from the bottom of the pod system.

Make sure the tank is installed correctly

If the components of the tank are misaligned, the vape may not be able to detect the combined quill.

If you are using a tank and have made sure that the coil is connected to the other – and your device is still giving you the “No Atomizer” error – the next thing to do is to carefully disassemble and reassemble the tank, and make sure that there are no misaligned components. In some tank designs, the tank’s chimney is inserted into the coil head to create an airtight seal. If the tank components are misaligned, the chimney can cause a short circuit by touching the coil’s heating element.

Tank base loses flavor

You may see a “No Atomizer” error on the vape if there is flavor clustered in the tank base.

If the tank still doesn’t work after you’ve made sure it’s properly installed, remove the coil and see if the base of the tank is contaminated with flavor or other residue. If it is, clean it with a cotton swab to ensure that the base of the tank can make a solid connection with the pin or panel at the base of the tank.

Change the coil

If nothing else fixes the issue, you may have a damaged pod system or coil that needs to be replaced.

If you’ve tried everything else in this article and know that the tank or pod system is the cause of the “No Atomizer” error but can’t get your device to work, the coil installed is probably damaged or defective. You should try installing a new coil at this point. If it works, you can throw away the old coil because there is no way to fix it.

Even though you installed a new coil, the tank is still not working. In this case, the tank may be permanently skewed due to damage such as the tank hitting a hard surface. In this case, the tank may need to be replaced.
